Adjectives Roll Grammar SPaG Activity / Dice Game.
Can be played in pairs. Children throw a dice each and combine their score. They then find their score number on the game board and use 3 adjectives to describe the picture. As an extension, the adjectives used can be uplevelled using a thesaurus.

The resource follows the National Curriculum guidelines for Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar in KS1 (Year 1)
This set will give you everything you need for your SPaG wall. Included are 13 posters, 16 terminology cards + a bonus (Year1 common exception words cards)!

I have created these to remind the children of what the subordinating conjunctions (or connectives) are. They are shaped as cute pencils which can be laminated, cut out and displayed on your SPaG or English board. Included are 15 pencils with different conjunctions written on them (with 2 blank ones to write your own).
The images are of great quality. There are 3 pencils per page of A4 but could be printed on A3 if larger pictures required.

Give players time (2-3 minutes) to find as many words on the grid of mixed up letters as they can. Students record their words (response sheet included) and score points depending on how many letters the word has. The longer the word, the more points it scores.
Great for morning starters, transition or end of day times.

Learning and teaching high frequency/ sight words can be a daunting task for both teachers and students. To make it more manageable and compact, I have decided to put the first 100 high frequency words into 32 short phrases/ sentences onto 4 colourful sheets.
These can be used for a number of purposes: independent reading, assessment, visual display and support, even games.
